Upon arrival and after clearing with the customs desk, you are welcomed by our representative and driver guide. After the meet and greet, you are briefed on your trip and then leave for one of Kenya’s premier parks in Kenya’s south. After about a 4-hour drive, you arrive in time for lunch at the reserved property. You check in, have lunch, and take a short rest as you prepare for a fascinating afternoon game drive. Amboseli National Park is located at the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, famous for huge herds of elephants of about 50 members in a go. Normally on clear days in the morning, you get clear views of this highest peak. You go for an afternoon game drive and then return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
You can rise up early for a morning game drive, getting the chance to spot animals, as this is their active hour. You also capture clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Featuring savannah grassland, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bushes, swamps, and marshlands, Amboseli is significant for bird conservation with over 400 species recorded. On clear days, usually early mornings, one can capture clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa’s highest peak). The ecosystem is rich in wildlife, including four members of the big five: lions, leopards, buffalos, and about 50 herds of elephants seen in one go. Other animals include giraffes, zebras, hyenas, gazelles, cheetahs, and hippos. You can also visit the Masai Bomas to learn of their traditions and lifestyle. You are on the lookout for the park's inhabitants till evening, when you return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, embark on a drive heading to the Rift Valley region via Nairobi. You will have a stopover at the Great Rift Valley view point for panoramic views of the great escarpment. You then proceed to Lake Naivasha. You will arrive in time for lunch at the reserved property. You have lunch and relax for a short time. In the afternoon, with the help of your driver guide, you go for a boat ride. The driver will liaise with the boatmen, have a briefing, and enjoy the ride as you view some wildlife grazing at the banks of the lake. The ride takes you to the Crescent Island game sanctuary, where you get let in at an extra cost. Enjoy an incredible experience with close encounters of wildlife roaming in their natural habitats. There are occasional sightings of pythons, groups of buffalos, zebras, gazelles, and others. The nocturnal hippos can be seen grazing. On a boat ride you return to the lodge for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, you embark on about a 4-hour drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. You drive along the beautiful flower farms in Naivasha. The drive gets you to the reserved property at Masai Mara in time for lunch. You check in, have lunch, and relax for a short time. In the afternoon you get to explore the reserve on a game drive. You can as well opt for a cultural tour at the Maasai village. You are welcomed and enticed by the locals who perform songs and dances in their native dialect. There is also the jump-up activity, where you are free to join and partake of it. The activity service fee is paid directly to the men in charge at the location. Later in the evening you return to the lodge for an overnight stay and dinner.
Rise up early for a morning game drive to capture clear views of wild animals in the open plains as they awake. Return to the lodge for breakfast and a short rest. On request, have a packed lunch for a full-day game drive. Masai Mara National Reserve is an iconic destination rich in biodiversity. From its open grassy plains to rolling hills crossed by rivers, the area supports a huge density of life. The drive takes you in search of the Big Five, including the elephants, buffalos, leopards, lions, and rhinos. Additionally, you survey the plains and savannahs for zebras, topis, gazelles, impalas, hyenas, cheetahs, foxes, elands, and various bird species. Birds that can be seen here include the vultures, eagles, weaverbirds, ostriches, cranes, ibises, and secretary birds, among others. You opt for an early morning hot air balloon safari at an extra cost. On clear days the Masai Mara Reserve offers clear views of an orange-tinged sunset worth capturing on camera. In the evening you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay
You will have your breakfast in the morning then check out of the lodge. You get on about a 6-hour drive to Nairobi. You can have a stop at Narok town to stretch and have lunch. You proceed to arrive in Nairobi, where you are transferred to the airport to get on your flight back home.
